The Inspiration Lab was created to be a community of women to share and teach both personal and professional triumphs and challenges. These scholarships reflect both of those experiences in our founder, Stephanie’s life.
Helping Professionals Scholarship
Reflecting the personal side of the Inspiration Lab, our first scholarship honors Oliver Lanier, the teenage son of our founder, who is currently 15 years old and a high school student. Oliver, who has special needs, autism and is medically fragile, has touched many lives and has also been cared for by many college-aged students. Many of these caregivers are women who are leaders in their fields of study, from psychology to nursing to special education and biology (pre-med and related fields) to social work and beyond. To be considered for this scholarship, women in these fields of study should submit an essay about how they have demonstrated leadership.
Business & Real Estate Scholarship
Professionally, this scholarship reflects Stephanie’s unexpected journey from the helping professions (she has an undergrad degree in Psychology and Master’s in Social Work) into the business world and real estate. Women pursuing degrees in business, real estate, marketing, entrepreneurship, communication, journalism and beyond should apply for this scholarship and tell us how you have demonstrated leadership to be considered for this scholarship.
Available to women currently residing in New Hanover, Pender or Brunswick County. 500-word essays are required and are due by October 1st to scholarship@theinspirationlab.co Students must be currently enrolled and in good standing in university or community college as of 10/1/2024. Student is requested to attend Inspiration Lab Conference on 10/30/24 to receive the scholarship. Students related to Inspiration Lab (or Lanier Property Group?) employees or team members are not eligible. Scholarship winners will be reviewed and selected by an independent committee of three women.
