WHAT WE'RE ALL
We offer an authentic place for women to learn and be inspired by one another. We help women foster meaningful connections through live events, online workshops, and original workbooks.
The Inspiration Lab
After participating in real estate conferences around the country, Stephanie Lanier began to long for events where women could speak about more personal matters. She was curious about how women were blending their work, families, and passions together.
She wanted insight on how to grow as a mother (and as a caregiver of a medically fragile child), how to be a better leader at a growing company (without an MBA), and how to squeeze in self-care. She also wanted to find a community of like-minded women who were there to support one another through the good and the bad.
Stephanie noticed that when women were together in a safe and authentic environment, their conversations were real and transformative. She wondered if that intimacy and inspiration could be replicated through occasional meetups, and that is how the idea for The Inspiration Lab™ was born.
The Inspiration Lab™ has evolved and grown since its first luncheon in 2015. Through year-round programming and an annual conference, we are proud to provide a space where women can pursue more manageable and meaningful lives.

She relishes developing new programs for The Inspiration Lab and volunteering with nonprofits that are close to her heart. She loves reading on the beach, particularly Wrightsville Beach, and attending concerts.

ERIN BARBEE Events Coordinator
Born on a military base in North Carolina and growing up as a military child, moving was a theme of Erin Barbee’s young life. While that might sound chaotic, both sets of grandparents, as well as her parents, had a strong sense of order and beauty in the home that still influences her today. Erin had the great fortune of being able to spend summers and school breaks on Topsail Island, North Carolina, and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Thanks to her grandparents’ love of entertaining, she developed her own fondness for the art of cultivating an experience for people.
After focusing on merchandising in college and going into sales and marketing in the corporate world, Erin decided to concentrate on her true calling: organizing, productivity, and events. She loves finding ways to help people live their best, most productive, stress-free lives.
Erin and her daughter moved to Wilmington from Montana in 2015. She was a founding member of The Inspiration Lab. And today she applies the skills she’s learned both personally and professionally to her role as The Inspi Lab’s Events Coordinator.
