For women building successful real estate businesses and the women building them alongside them.

You’ve built a successful career in real estate, so what comes next? For years, our industry has given us a pretty predictable blueprint: sell more, hire help, build a team, add more agents and get bigger. But what if bigger isn’t necessarily better, and your next level requires less of you and more strategy?

Maybe it’s better systems and technology, clearer roles, an incredible right hand, better margins, more wealth being created outside the business, or simply creating enough capacity in your business to pursue whatever you want to do next.

That’s what we want to talk about at this year’s Real Estate Roundtable.

This event is absolutely not just for team leaders or the name on the sign. We want top-producing agents, agents on successful teams, operations leaders, administrators, and transaction coordinators who are thinking seriously about what they want to build next. We know the best businesses that are consistent and built to last aren’t built by just one person. They’re built by really smart people doing really good work together over many years.

Stephanie Lanier

Stephanie Lanier is the founder of Lanier Property Group at Intracoastal Realty, one of the top-producing real estate teams in Southeastern North Carolina, and a founding partner in several real estate development projects across North Carolina.

But long before any awards, titles, or development deals, Stephanie was a social worker — and at her core, she still is one.

Stephanie is also the founder of The Inspiration Lab, a women’s community that recently celebrated its 10th anniversary by raising money and awareness for Children's Cancer Partners, an organization that is deeply personal to her family.

Her greatest and most important role is being the mother of her son Oliver, who has profound special needs, autism, epilepsy, and survived childhood kidney cancer. Walking through Oliver’s medical journey transformed the way Stephanie thinks about leadership, caregiving, advocacy, and community.

When she isn’t working or volunteering, Stephanie can usually be found hosting Sunday supper for her family, enjoying life at the coast, or enthusiastically participating in golf despite being objectively terrible at it.

Katey Bean

Katey Bean is the founder and CEO of Katey Bean & Company, a top-producing residential real estate team serving the Minneapolis–St. Paul market. A REALTOR® since 2005, Katey has built a successful, relationship-based business centered on exceptional client care, strong systems, and thoughtful leadership, with her team serving approximately 100 clients each year.

As her business evolved, Katey recognized an opportunity to help experienced agents answer an important question: What happens to the relationships, reputation, and business you’ve spent years building when you’re ready to step back?

Katey helps experienced agents create an intentional shift out of full-time real estate while protecting the relationships, legacy, and future income connected to the business they’ve built. She will share practical strategies for creating a smooth transition that serves the transitioning agent, the receiving agent or team, and the clients who have trusted them for years.

A FEW OF THE BIG CONVERSATIONS WE’RE PLANNING...

Screen Shot 2024-09-08 at 6.05.10 PM.png

Would AI Recommend and Hire You?

Your potential clients are already using AI to research agents, read inspections, interpret information, and chances are, decide whether they trust the advice you just gave them. What does ChatGPT know about you? Is it an accurate reflection of the business you’ve built when a consumer asks for top agents in your area?! We are going to discuss how AI is influencing visibility, credibility, and referrals and offer the practical actions you can take now to improve your chances of being found, trusted, and recommended.

The Right People in the Right Seats

You don’t necessarily need a bigger team. You need a better-designed business. We’re talking about the people, roles, operations, delegation, leadership and culture that allow really successful businesses to keep growing without simply requiring more and more from the person who started them. And we especially want the amazing women running operations, administration and marketing in this conversation because we think they know a lot about what makes these businesses work.

Build the Wealth, Not Just the Income

Real estate can create incredible income, but income and wealth are not the same thing. We’re going to talk about what successful women should be thinking about when it comes to investing, retirement, taxes, insurance, estate planning, and building wealth outside of the next closing. Basically, we work really hard to earn this money, so let’s make sure we’re being equally thoughtful about what we do with it.

What’s the Next Version?

What happens when you’re already successful but know you’re not done? How do you keep taking smart risks without blowing up everything you worked so hard to build? How do you create room for new opportunities, keep growing the people around you, and decide what you actually want your business and your role in it to make possible for your life? Because at some point the question becomes less about how much more you can produce and a whole lot more about what you’re building, who you’re building it with, and what you want all of this success to be for.

Breakout Sessions

And because we’re calling this the Real Estate Roundtable, we are going to sit around tables and talk! In the afternoon, you’ll choose smaller conversations based on what would be most helpful or interesting to you right now. Come ready to ask questions, share what’s working, steal a really good idea and meet some women you’ll be very glad you know.

Whether you have a marketing idea that’s working or you’re looking for fresh inspiration, this breakout is designed for both. We’ll share what’s creating attention, consistency, and return across print, digital, video, social, YouTube, farming, mailers, and content, then collaborate on how those ideas could be adapted for different audiences and businesses.

  • Bring one campaign, piece of content, or marketing idea that has created measurable results or consistent engagement.

  • Have your target audience in mind and be ready to discuss what makes an idea worth repeating, scaling, or investing in.

  • Share, borrow, and adapt ideas with the group so you leave with a few strategies that fit your business and are realistic to execute consistently.
